Placing an Order  

Whilst we endeavour to keep all items in stock and available for immediate despatch, this may not always be possible.

In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock we will contact you within 48 hours and advise you of an anticipated delivery time. If you have ordered multiple items, you will be given the option of waiting and receiving your items altogether, or you can choose to have them delivered in more than one consignment.

If an item has been discontinued or we are unable to secure further stock, we will cancel that order and refund.

Please note, as with all Online Shopping, your completion of the checkout process does not explicitly guarantee we are able to supply the goods ordered.

Discount voucher codes from third party voucher sites are not valid or supported at Archerfield Walled Garden (Archerfield Estates Limited).


Online Payment 

Card holder details are checked securely by a third-party payment gateway. We accept the majority of debit and credit cards, including American Express.

Payment is made at the 'Checkout' page, which can be accessed through the Shopping Basket.

Payment is only made when you click 'Pay now'.

The full purchase price will be charged to your debit or credit card upon despatch of your order.

Payment for items using our Click & Collect service will be made online.



All prices are quoted in GBP and payment is processed in GBP.

The price includes the appropriate UK VAT (Value Added Tax) rate, where applicable.



Sending a Gift 

You may add a gift note at the 'Basket' page, which will be handwritten in an appropriate card and sent with the gift.

A copy of the invoice will be emailed for your records, and the packing list, which contains no prices, will be enclosed with the order.


Age Restricted Products 

Alcoholic beverages, axes, knives, and garden cutting equipment may only be purchased by customers aged 25 years old and over. You will be asked to verify your age during the order process and by completing this and ordering such goods you have confirmed that you are aged 25 years or older. Identification may be asked for on receipt of delivery.


Product description & prices

Archerfield Walled Garden (Archerfield Estates Limited) have taken great care to ensure the reproduction of colour, texture and finishes are as accurate as the photographic and production process allows.

We make every attempt to ensure our prices are accurate. In the event of a pricing or description error we reserve the right to withdraw an item from sale, under the terms of the Sale of Goods Act.

We reserve the right to amend, modify or withdraw temporarily or permanently any price or product description without notice.


Our Rights 

We reserve the right to reject an order as a result of any of the following:

The product you ordered is unavailable from stock.

We are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment.

We have identified a pricing or product description error.



Occasionally, Archerfield Walled Garden (Archerfield Estates Limited) may offer discount codes or offers on its products either in store or online. These codes or offers have the following terms and conditions:

Discount codes and/or offers are not to be used in conjunction with any other discount code/offer unless otherwise stated

We reserve the right to modify or withdraw any discount code or offer at any time

Discounts and offers are available whilst stocks last or until the specified end date

No cash alternative will be available for any discount or offer

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights

If your products have already been despatched, then you will need to follow our returns procedure as per below.


Delivery Timescales

For standard deliveries we aim to deliver your order within 3-5 working days of accepting your order.

For Heavy or Large Item Deliveries, we aim to deliver your order within 3-10 working days of accepting your order. Regrettably, actual delivery dates & times cannot be guaranteed.

Products delivered direct from our manufacturer will have varying lead times.

If you have not received your order within the above timescale, please contact the Web Shop Team and we will investigate the non-arrival.

Please note: there will be no deliveries made between the 22nd December 2023 and the 4th January 2024.

We currently do not offer nominated day delivery but will advise you when we anticipate delivery at the time of order.


Click & Collect

We offer a “click & collect” service.

Orders can be collected from Archerfield Walled Garden, Archerfield Estate, Dirleton EH39 5HQ, during shop opening hours. Please check our website for current opening hours as these change seasonally.

Please note that you must allow up to 2 working days to collect your order in store.

You will be notified by email when your order is available to collect.

Please bring your order confirmation and ID as proof of purchase.


Returns Policy 

Returns procedure for online purchases:

We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. However, should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in fully resalable condition:

Returns should be made within 14 days of the date the goods are delivered to you.

Items must be in original, undamaged packaging.

If we find that the product has not been returned to us in fully resalable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount.

By Post / Courier  

To return your product, you should mail or courier your product to:

Archerfield Walled Garden, Archerfield Estate, Dirleton, East Lothian EH39 5HQ

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

If you are shipping an item over £75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Please include your dispatch note when returning your parcel and state the item(s) you are returning.

We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on perishable goods such as seeds and bulbs unless they are faulty.

Delivery charges: We will refund your original delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, but not when a product is simply unwanted.



Once the item(s) you wish to return has been received and checked by us, a refund for the agreed amount will be made to the debit or credit card used for the original purchase.

Please allow 7 days from return for this process to be completed.

A refund of the delivery charge will ONLY be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged, or faulty goods.


Returns via our Shop (Archerfield Walled Garden)

Simply take the dispatch note and the product you wish to return or exchange to the shop and tell the sales assistant you bought it online.

Please note: We will refund the price of the item to the original payment method or offer an exchange or credit note for the products returned.


Damaged / Faulty Items

On delivery, please check items carefully.

If you believe that any of the items are faulty or of unsatisfactory quality, please call the Web Shop Team on 01620 388 588 immediately.

Please contact us before returning any products that you believe may be faulty.

Please note, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, for Faulty Goods bought after 1/10/15 you have a right to a full refund of the product in most cases, up to 30 days after purchase.

If you are returning an item or items due to a fault or damage on the part of Archerfield Walled Garden, or the delivery service, you may be entitled to a replacement subject to stock availability.

Please email with details of damage and photographs if possible and a member of staff will call or email by return.
